On November 11, Yomiuri Land and Yomiuri Shimbun announced that the new Pokemon theme park, PokePark Kanto, will open inside the Yomiuriland amusement park on February 5, 2026.
Tickets will go on sale from November 21st.
The announcement said that PokePark Kanto, a joint venture with The Pokemon Company, will be the first permanent outdoor facility where visitors can experience the excitement of the Pokemon world .
The facility will span 2.6 hectares within the Yomiuriland campus, located between Tokyo's Inagi and Kawasaki cities.
The park will include a Pokemon Forest and Sedge Town, where visitors will be able to encounter more than 600 Pokemon of all types.
At the Pokemon Forest, which is only open to visitors aged 5 and over, visitors can come into close contact with a variety of Pokemon, including Pikachu, on a 500m walking trail.
Some Pokemon even allow visitors to ride on their backs. Meanwhile, at Sedge Town, visitors can watch shows, parades, and shop for Pokemon-related products.
Tickets for entry until March 2026 will be available for purchase on the official PokePark Kanto website via a lottery from November 21 to December 8. The “lottery winners” will be notified at the end of December.
Two types of tickets are available for sale, including the Trainer Pass, which starts at 7,900 yen (over $51) for those 13 years and older, allowing entry to both the Pokemon Forest and Sedge Town.
Meanwhile, the Ace Trainer Card, which starts at 14,000 yen for adults, allows unlimited entry to the Pokemon Forest, with no entry time limit.
In Sedge Town, visitors with this card can experience each attraction once at no additional charge. Both cards include admission to Yomiuriland. The Town Card, which only allows entry to Sedge Town, will be released at a later date./.
