The Red Cross is participating in the "Million Steps of Compassion" campaign.

On the morning of March 17th, the Provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with Tay Nguyen University, organized the launching ceremony for the "Million Steps of Compassion" campaign in 2024. Attending the ceremony were representatives from various departments and agencies in the province; students from Tay Nguyen University; and volunteers.

“A Million Steps of Compassion” is a community fundraising and outreach campaign initiated and implemented by the Vietnam Red Cross Society and its partners, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).

The campaign, launched nationwide from February 25th to April 21st, 2024, aims to attract 70,000 participants to engage in physical activity (walking/running) and record their achievements via the vRace application, reaching 700,000 km; correspondingly, the campaign seeks to raise 7 billion VND in donations to build school canteens for students in mountainous areas, support sustainable livelihoods for poor families, and organize Humanitarian Markets to provide essential goods for disadvantaged families…


The Chairperson of the Ayun H'Hương Provincial Red Cross Society delivered a speech at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, the President of the Ayun H'Huong Provincial Red Cross Society called on individuals and organizations to actively participate in the "Million Steps of Compassion" campaign; emphasizing that each step taken will convey a message of compassion, environmental protection, and fundraising to carry out humanitarian projects and help disadvantaged and disabled children and poor people have the opportunity to improve their education, work, and lives.



Delegates and volunteers participated in walking and running activities to support the "Million Steps of Compassion" campaign.

As part of the program, delegates and volunteers participated in a 2km walk and run around the campus of Tay Nguyen University.
