A shining example in Bon Bu Bir

In Bon Bu Bir, when mentioning Mr. Dieu K'Rắk - a 40-year Party member - everyone respects him. At the age of over 60, he still diligently takes care of more than 4 hectares of coffee, cashew, and durian, earning more than 400 million VND each year. For him, a Party member must live exemplary life from the smallest things - doing good business , preserving culture, and actively participating in movements for his children, grandchildren, and relatives to follow.

“I myself have to work hard to make a living so that my family can be prosperous and happy. Through that, my children and relatives can follow; especially young party members must learn the spirit of self-reliance and taking care of their business,” Mr. Dieu K'Rắk shared.

The Bu Bir hamlet party cell currently has 19 party members, of which 13 are ethnic minorities. For many years, the party cell has been recognized as clean and strong. Party members are not only pioneers in production but also a bridge to bring the Party's guidelines and policies to the people, creating high consensus in the community.

Secretary of the Party Cell Dieu Minh said: “We encourage party members and people to take care of economic development and preserve cultural identity. The youth in the village actively participate in the movement. Recently, the village has built 62 solar power poles in the form of State and People working together, contributing to building new rural areas and ensuring better security and order.”

Quang Tin commune is located in the southwest of Lam Dong province with more than 9,050 households, more than 35,000 people; of which, ethnic minorities account for over 35%. In the commune, there are more than 20 ethnic groups such as: M'nong, Ede, Hoa, Tay, Nung, Muong, Thai, Dao, Mong, Khmer, San Diu, San Chay, Tho, K'ho... According to the People's Committee of Quang Tin commune, combining many resources with the efforts of the people, the poverty rate of ethnic minority households has decreased by 1 - 2%/year, contributing to reducing the poverty rate of the whole commune to 1.78%.

Young nucleus lights up the village fire

Not only are they good at business, many party members and young core members in Quang Tin are also diligent in preserving the national identity. In Ol Bu Tung hamlet, Ms. Thi Nam - a young M'nong artisan, works every day at the loom, skillfully weaving colorful brocades. From that passion, she has aroused national pride, inspiring the young generation in the hamlet. "As a M'nong, I want to preserve and continue the traditional culture of my people. That is both a passion and a responsibility so that the M'nong culture will not be lost," Ms. Thi Nam expressed.

The entire Quang Tin commune currently has 849 party members, of which 107 are ethnic minorities. The commune Party Committee pays special attention to developing young party members, improving the quality of grassroots party organizations, and promoting and training ethnic minority youth to voluntarily join the Party.

Secretary of the Quang Tin Commune Party Committee Do Thanh Cat affirmed: “Developing Party members in ethnic minority areas is an important task. They are truly exemplary people, taking the lead in propagating policies and guidelines, in socio-economic development for people to follow and progress together”. From the shining examples in Quang Tin village, the ethnic minority people's trust in the Party and local government is increasingly strong. Exemplary Party members are the fulcrum for the community to unite and move forward steadily, so that this land can increasingly prosper.
