Mr. Vo Thanh Huy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that Lam Dong is blessed with rich natural landscapes, from plateaus, mountains, forests, waterfalls, lakes and streams to coastal and island areas. In particular, the Ta Dung tourist area, with more than 40 islands floating in the middle of a picturesque lake, is likened to "Ha Long Bay on the plateau". These natural advantages help Lam Dong develop diverse types of tourism such as: mountain climbing, paragliding, whitewater rafting, surfing, and coral reef diving.
Mr. Vo Thanh Huy affirmed that this is a unique advantage, contributing to establishing the brand of adventure and ecotourism in Lam Dong as well as the entire South Central Coast and Central Highlands region.

Leaders of the Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed a memorandum of cooperation with Hanoi City.
Recently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Vietnam Institute of Culture, Arts, Sports and Tourism, organized a conference to provide feedback on the draft National Standard "Adventure Tourism - Terminology and Definitions". The conference brought together many managers, experts, businesses, and associations from various provinces to contribute ideas to improve the draft, helping to promote the development of adventure tourism in a safe, professional, and sustainable direction. During a tourism survey trip to Lam Dong, Mr. Tran Son Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai, stated that the delegation had the opportunity to learn more about the management and organization models of adventure tourism products – a rapidly developing field that demands special attention to safety and health protection for tourists. The experiences shared by Lam Dong regarding state management, the role of businesses, human resource training, and incident response are practical lessons for the Northwest provinces to study and apply appropriately to their local conditions.

Expanding inter-regional cooperation
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in recent years Lam Dong province has made efforts to invest in and upgrade transportation infrastructure, especially air travel, develop tourism facilities, diversify products, and promote cooperation and linkages both domestically and internationally. In September 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, together with the Lam Dong Tourism Association, conducted a survey of key destinations in the province. Mr. Tran Minh Duc, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Travel Association, said the goal is to build a tourism product connecting three distinctive highlights: Nha Trang Beach - Bao Loc Tea - Da Lat Flowers.
Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa are both ideal destinations for domestic and international tourists to visit, relax, and experience. If properly developed, the combination of these two localities will create an attractive travel itinerary, allowing visitors to explore the diversity of geography and culture in a single trip. The differences in climate and topography, from the warm sunshine of the coast to the cool air of the highlands, offer rich and unique experiences.
Furthermore, Lam Dong province is also strengthening cooperation with major markets such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Dong Nai. The reorganization of administrative units has helped the province integrate more tourism resources and increase investment connectivity. This connection and cooperation in the new phase will bring opportunities for both state management agencies and businesses to achieve goals of large quantity and high quality.

Gong culture and Cham culture blend together.
In recent times, Lam Dong province has collaborated with other localities to organize numerous famtrips offering tourism experiences from the sea to the forest, exploring the cultural space of tea, the gong culture of the Central Highlands, and Cham culture. This activity demonstrates the proactive approach of the tourism industry in cooperating with key markets, building programs to stimulate demand, and promoting and developing inter-regional tours with distinctive brands.
Following a survey on tourism connectivity between Hanoi and the Central and Central Highlands provinces, Ms. Nhu Thi Ngan, General Director of Hanoi Tourism Investment Joint Stock Company, stated: To promote regional tourism linkages, localities and businesses need to exploit the unique cultural values of each region and ethnic group. This will create synergy and consistency, forming attractive tourism products that encourage tourists to stay longer and return more often. Because linkage is not just about "adding" different localities, but more importantly, about discovering unique cultural values that resonate with tourists.
