On November 14th, at the Provincial Cultural Center, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the Ninh Binh Provincial Amateur Arts Festival 2016.

Attending the event were Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Thach, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; leaders of several departments and agencies; leaders of districts and cities; leaders of the cultural departments and cultural and sports centers of 8 districts and cities; 11 amateur art troupes from districts and cities; and 3 agencies and units: the Provincial Police, the Provincial Military Command; and Military Medical Institute 5...

Participating in the festival, the performing units presented more than 70 performances by over 300 actors and musicians in various genres: solo singing, group singing, singing and dancing, traditional dances, performances of traditional musical instruments, Xam singing, Van singing, etc.

The performances focused on the following themes: praising the glorious Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh; praising the heroic traditions of the Vietnam People's Army; praising the historical and cultural traditions, the beauty of the homeland, and the achievements in the renovation process in Ninh Binh province.

The festival provides an opportunity for amateur artists from localities, agencies, and units within the province to interact, learn, and exchange experiences.

This promotes the development of the movement, meets the creative needs and enjoyment of culture and art, enhances the spiritual life of the people, and contributes to encouraging and motivating cadres and people to actively work and produce to successfully complete the political tasks of the locality, agency, and unit.
