Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association Cluster 8 provides free medical examination and treatment to more than 90,000 people

On June 5, in Nha Trang City, Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association Cluster 8 held a conference to review the first 6 months of the year and deploy activities for the last months of 2025.

Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association Cluster 8 includes 4 provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, with nearly 8,940 members. In the first 6 months of the year, units in the cluster have organized medical examinations and treatments for nearly 600,000 people, reaching more than 50% of the plan, the total value of medical examinations and treatments collected is estimated at more than 30 billion VND. Along with that, units in the cluster have organized free medical examinations and treatments, charity for more than 90,000 people, worth more than 5.1 billion VND; organized dozens of scientific seminars and training courses, professional development for more than 4,400 physicians, doctors, and members; investigated and recorded nearly 1,270 medicinal plant species and 82 rare medicinal gene sources; Maintain and build hundreds of model medicinal herb gardens at medical stations... In the last months of the year, the cluster continues to focus on developing Vietnamese traditional medicine and the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association in the new situation; propagate and disseminate the Party's guidelines and the State's laws on traditional medicine and pharmacy to members; strongly launch patriotic emulation movements...

At the conference, the units in the cluster recommended that the People's Committees of provinces, cities and local authorities direct the establishment of traditional medicine associations in areas where there are no associations; create conditions for opening training courses to improve professional qualifications for staff working in associations; the Ministry of Health coordinates with the Vietnam Traditional Medicine Association to soon issue a joint circular providing specific guidance on the management and scope of traditional medicine practice for private traditional medicine establishments and activities of traditional medicine associations at all levels...
