At the program, the Women's Union of Thang Binh district awarded 31 students with excellent academic achievements in the 2023-2024 school year; presented 20 bicycles; 31 sets of Ao Dai and uniforms to students. The total cost of implementation was nearly 53 million VND, thanks to the union mobilizing benefactors and each female union member saving 2,000 VND/year.
The students receiving gifts this time are from the Godmother program from 2022 to present with good and excellent academic achievements in the 2023-2024 school year.
In 2023 alone, the Women's Union of Thang Binh district will summarize 1 year of implementing the program, and at the same time award prizes and scholarships worth 90 million VND, connecting with other organizations to implement the program "Wings of Dreams" with a total amount of nearly 500 million VND.
Up to now, the whole district of Thang Binh has 313 orphans in difficult circumstances who are sponsored with monthly amounts from 300 thousand to 1 million VND/child. Particularly, the Women's Union of Thang Binh district has connected to sponsor 85 children.
