Attending the meeting on behalf of the Vietnam Lawyers Association were Ms. Le Thi Kim Thanh, Vice President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, and the working delegation.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of the Vietnam Lawyers Association to work with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and departments, branches and sectors of the province to propose appropriate solutions, creating favorable conditions for the Provincial Lawyers Association to well implement the assigned tasks according to Directive 14-CT/TW of the Politburo .
Implementing the direction from the Central Government, closely following the political tasks of the locality, the Party Committees and authorities at all levels always pay attention to, lead and direct the work of the Lawyers Association in Nghe An province. In particular, after the Politburo issued Directive No. 14/CT-TW, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee promptly issued Official Dispatch No. 1363-CV/TU, dated September 15, 2022 on the implementation of Directive No. 14-CT/TW dated July 1, 2022 of the Politburo .
In particular, pay attention to directing and creating conditions for the Bar Association in the province to consolidate, improve, and build an increasingly strong association in all aspects; lead the Bar Association at all levels to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots.
Over the past years, the Nghe An Provincial Bar Association has organized 1,097 concentrated and mobile legal dissemination and education campaigns, reaching 317,900 citizens. Particularly in mountainous areas, the association has disseminated 379 campaigns to 35,000 citizens of the province's ethnic minorities. Through educational and propaganda activities, the Association has built 5 models of community legal centers at the grassroots level.

Through the activities of the Legal Consulting Center under the Provincial Lawyers Association, from 2018 to present, the Center has provided free legal advice and legal aid to more than 311 subjects under the provisions of the Law on Legal Aid, the poor and policy beneficiaries without charging fees. At the same time, the Center has a long-term consulting contract to support businesses.
In addition, the contribution to law making is increasingly quality and timely. Taking care of the work of consolidating and building the Association's organization, recruiting members, and promptly completing the Association's staff when there are changes. Coordination with sectors and units is more effective. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Association has innovated its direction in the direction of being close to the grassroots, inspecting and urging promptly.

Appreciating the role of the Provincial Bar Association, Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that in the past time, the province has closely followed the programs and plans, paid attention to, led and directed the work of the Bar Association in the province; however, there are still many shortcomings. In the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee directs departments and branches to continue to pay attention to leading, directing and creating conditions for the Provincial Bar Association to consolidate, improve and build the Association organization to be increasingly strong in all aspects.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association Le Thi Kim Thanh acknowledged and highly appreciated the attention and close direction of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee on the activities of the Nghe An Provincial Lawyers Association.
Vice President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association Le Thi Kim Thanh expressed her hope that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Nghe An province will continue to pay attention to leading and directing the activities of the Provincial Lawyers Association; and assign additional tasks appropriate to the functions, duties and capacity of the Provincial Lawyers Association.
Regarding the proposals of the Nghe An Provincial Bar Association, the working delegation acknowledged and accepted the report and proposed to the Party Committee of the Vietnam Bar Association to take measures and guide the Provincial Bar Association to implement.
