Information Conference, Press Briefing June 2025: Strengthening propaganda about key events after the merger of Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city

Also attending was comrade Le Trung Kien, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board.

At the Conference, press agencies were provided with information on the organization of the Trade and Investment Promotion Conference on the sidelines of the 3rd Meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC III) scheduled to be held in Hai Phong from July 15 to 18; and at the same time, grasped the situation of digital transformation implementation to serve the operation of local governments at 2 levels in the city from July 1, 2025.

Comrade Pham Van Thep, Standing Committee Member, Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, spoke about the orientation of information and propaganda work in the coming time.

Speaking at the Conference, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee Pham Van Thep acknowledged and highly appreciated the support of central and local press agencies in promoting the dissemination of important contents of the city in recent times. These include the work of arranging 2-level administrative units after the merger of Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city; the 10th grade entrance exam and the 2025 high school graduation exam; and activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

The Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee requested that press agencies continue to promote propaganda about the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Hai Phong city in 2025. After the arrangement, the whole city will have 114 commune-level administrative units, including 67 communes, 45 wards and 2 special zones. In particular, it is necessary to focus on information and propaganda about the Ceremony to announce Resolution No. 1669 of the National Assembly on the merger of Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city; the Central Party Committee's Decisions on the establishment of the Hai Phong City Party Committee (new), scheduled to be held at the Viet Tiep Friendship Cultural Palace on June 30. At the same time, promote propaganda of activities responding to and celebrating the merger event, in order to create an atmosphere of excitement, solidarity and unity among all classes of people.

Along with that, press agencies need to increase the duration and frequency of propaganda about the Trade and Investment Promotion Conference on the sidelines of the 3rd Meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC III), contributing to promoting the image of Hai Phong city as a dynamic, developing city, deeply integrated with the region and the world./.
