The Third Mac Dynasty Countryside Market in 2025 will take place for 5 days, from July 8 to July 12, 2025 (ie from June 14 to 18, At Ty year) at the Mac family temple, Kien Hung commune, Hai Phong city. The Mac Dynasty rural market is also an opportunity to pay tribute to and honor the great contributions of the Queen Mother Vu Thi Ngoc Toan - who made many important contributions to many areas of social life, leaving a deep impression on future generations.
The 2025 Mac Dynasty Countryside Market will be held on a large scale with many new highlights. In particular, the Opening Ceremony will be associated with a series of important events such as: announcing the Decision and receiving the Certificate of National Special Monument ranking for the Temple of the Mac Dynasty Kings (Mac Family Temple); announcing the National Intangible Cultural Heritage title for the Mac Dynasty Traditional Wrestling Festival; inaugurating the Mac Family Temple after the restoration and renovation process.
The number of booths at this fair increased to 70, introducing typical OCOP products of Hai Phong city, Hai Duong province and typical products of Mac descendants from all over the country.
During the event, many traditional cultural and artistic activities such as: Cheo performances, Chau Van singing, worship singing, traditional musical instrument performances, water puppetry, etc. will be held alternately, serving the people and tourists who come to visit and experience. In particular, on the opening and closing nights, a special art program staged by Hai Phong Traditional Theater with the participation of hundreds of actors, artists and descendants of the Mac family will bring a cultural space imbued with the Mac Dynasty, contributing to vividly recreating the quintessence of national culture.
The event was held on the occasion of the death anniversary of the Empress Dowager Vu Thi Ngoc Toan - considered the Grand Anniversary of the Mother Goddess of the Mac Dynasty. This was not only an opportunity for descendants of the Mac family and Mac origin from all over to gather to pay tribute to their ancestors, but also attracted a large number of tourists and people from inside and outside the city to attend.
