Conference to disseminate information on the policy of merging the Association of People with Disabilities

Recently, in Phu Ly ward, the Ha Nam Association of People with Disabilities (PWD) held a conference to disseminate the policy of merging the PWD Associations of 3 provinces: Ha Nam, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh (old). At the same time, the presentation contest “Life changes when we change” was summarized and awarded.

Attending the conference were representatives of sponsors and more than 100 officials and members, representing nearly 2,000 disabled members of Ha Nam .

At the conference, the leaders of the Ha Nam Disabled Association provided detailed information about the plan to merge the Disabled Associations of the three provinces into the new Ninh Binh Disabled Association. It is expected that the merger dossier will be completed before August 31, 2025; the new Disabled Association is expected to be established in the fourth quarter of 2025.

With the goal of streamlining the apparatus, improving effectiveness and efficiency of operations and expanding cooperation to mobilize local and international resources, the conference also emphasized important orientations after the merger. Specifically: Rejuvenating the team; improving communication capacity and effectiveness; promoting external communication, enhancing the voice of PWDs; digital transformation and applying technology in operations and management. After the merger, the new PWD Association will operate according to a 2-level model (provincial level and commune and ward level).

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee summarized and honored the best contestants of the presentation contest "Life changes when we change". The contest was launched on June 20, 2025. Not only helping members improve their communication and digital communication skills, the contest also strongly spreads positive messages through the courageous stories of people with disabilities. Thereby, affirming: People with disabilities can be completely confident, integrated and dedicated.

The Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize, 2 Encouragement Prizes and 1 "Community Impression" Prize to outstanding contestants.
