Conference to summarize the Model of Classification, Collection and Treatment of Domestic Solid Waste in Tinh Tuc Town, Nguyen Binh District

On February 28, 2025, at the People's Committee of Tinh Tuc town, Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the People's Committee of Nguyen Binh district, and the People's Committee of Tinh Tuc town held a conference to summarize the implementation of the Model of Classification, collection and treatment of domestic solid waste in Tinh Tuc town, Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province.

Attending the Conference were representatives of the Leaders: Department of Natural Resources and Environment; People's Committee of Nguyen Binh district; Union of Science and Technology Associations; Association for Nature and Environment Protection; People's Committee of Tinh Tuc town; relevant departments and offices of agencies, units, political and social organizations of Nguyen Binh district, Tinh Tuc town; residential groups, people, and businesses.

After 2 years of implementing the Model, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the People's Committee of Nguyen Binh district and the People's Committee of Tinh Tuc town have implemented activities such as: Organizing 09 training courses on technical guidance, propaganda, raising awareness of classifying domestic solid waste at source in Tinh Tuc town with the participation of 443 households, 50 production, business and service establishments and 100% of cadres, civil servants, political and social organizations in Tinh Tuc town; distributing documents and leaflets with technical guidance to 560/560 households that transfer waste to collection, transportation and treatment facilities; arranging and installing 04 billboards at suitable locations to strengthen propaganda and technical guidance on classifying domestic solid waste; distributing 600 2-compartment trash bins with a capacity of 40 liters to households, organizations and individuals; 126 trash bins, capacity 240 liters; 44 trash bins, capacity 100 liters; 280 organic waste compost bins, capacity 120 liters for households; 560 biological product packages, weight 200 grams/bag; 3 stainless steel trash bins with 3 compartments; 03 hand-pushed trash carts, capacity 400 liters; 08 green house models for sorting recyclable waste.

The pilot implementation of the Model has a relatively large significance in order to propagate, raise awareness, create a widespread effect of consciousness and responsibility for the implementation of domestic solid waste classification, and gradually and effectively implement the content of domestic waste classification at source according to the Law on Environmental Protection 2020.
