On the morning of October 25, the Pioneer and Children's Newspaper, Basketball TV and the American Academy of SportsEducation ASA officially announced the 2023-2024 Doppelherz Cup Pioneer and Children's Newspaper Basketball Tournament.

This is the third time the tournament for junior high and high school football teams in Hanoi has been held.
With the home-away competition format, the Vietnam Student Basketball League (abbreviated VSBL) has become the leading attractive school basketball tournament.
At VSBL, players have many opportunities to compete and practice in many matches because phase 1 is organized with home and away matches.
After two years of being held in Hanoi, VBSL has become an indispensable sports playground in the annual plans of middle and high schools.
There are currently 50 high school teams and 25 middle school teams (75 teams) registered to participate in the tournament.
The Organizing Committee will hold the preliminary round for high school students from October 30 to November 5, 2023 to find 24 participating teams.
Phase 1 will be played in a home-away group stage from November 13 to December 24, 2023. The finals will be played from January 6 to February 4, 2024 in a centralized format.

The 2023-2024 Young Pioneer and Children Newspaper Basketball Tournament promises to promote the school sports movement, creating a playground for middle and high school students to have the opportunity to compete and express their love for basketball.
In addition, schools have extracurricular sports outside of school hours to help express the school's personality and strengths.
