Deputy Director of the State Treasury Ngo Thi Nhung said that as of June 15, the State Treasury system had considered early retirement for 1,247 people according to Decree 178, with a total payment of VND1,152 billion. The payment was made according to the estimate, ensuring the regime and policies according to regulations.
Ms. Nhung also informed that on March 15, the State Treasury completed the organization of the apparatus according to a two-level model, cutting 465 focal points, equivalent to 44% of the number, from 1,047 to 582 focal points.
In the next phase, the State Treasury will continue to study and submit to the Ministry of Finance a plan to rearrange 20 regional State Treasuries to suit the provincial and municipal administrative units; at the same time, perfect the functions, tasks and organizational structure, in accordance with the revised contents of the State Budget Law and the policy of ending specialized inspection activities.
Also within the framework of restructuring the apparatus, Deputy Director of the Customs Department Tran Duc Hung said that the entire customs sector has had about 1,100 people register to quit their jobs.
To date, the customs authority has resolved leave regimes according to Decree 178 and Decree 67 (amending and supplementing Decree 178) for 361 cases; the remaining cases are still under consideration due to the large workload.
"During the reorganization process, we will try to ensure harmony between the industry's common goals and the personal wishes of each cadre and civil servant," Mr. Hung affirmed.
