Of these, 24 teachers were proposed to be awarded the title of People's Teacher, and 1,201 teachers were proposed to be awarded the title of Excellent Teacher.
The teachers proposed for the title of People's Teacher include 7 teachers from ministries, 12 teachers from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and two national universities. The remaining five teachers come from the Departments of Education and Training of Binh Dinh, Dien Bien, Hanoi, Soc Trang and Yen Bai provinces.
Teachers proposed for the title of Excellent Teacher include 59 teachers from ministries and sectors; 85 teachers from sectors directly under the Ministry of Education and Training and two national universities; and 1,057 teachers from local sectors.
The locality with the most teachers proposed for the title of Excellent Teacher is Kien Giang province with 78 teachers. The provinces of Soc Trang, Nghe An, Long An each have 64 teachers, followed by Can Tho with 59 teachers, Hanoi 55 teachers, Dien Bien 44 teachers... Some localities have very few teachers proposed for the title of Excellent Teacher such as Phu Tho with only two teachers, Gia Lai 3 teachers, Ninh Thuan 4 teachers, Nam Dinh 5 teachers...
According to regulations, the Council for Awarding the Titles of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher at the State level will collect public opinions on teachers proposed for award, the time for collecting opinions is until September 12. The list of candidates is posted on the Government's Electronic Information Portal, the Electronic Information Portal of the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Education and Times Newspaper.
