More than 1,500 people in Gia Loc need social housing

According to a survey, more than 1,500 people in Gia Loc district are in need of social housing (illustrative photo).

According to the Gia Loc District People's Committee, there are 1,507 people in the district who need to buy social housing. Specifically, 650 people need to buy houses before 2025, of which 524 people need to buy houses; 99 people need to rent houses, the rest are people who need to rent to buy. From 2025 - 2030, the district has 582 people and after 2030, there will be 275 people in need of social housing.

From January 5 to 15, Gia Loc district's professional units conducted a survey of 13,700 people on their need to buy social housing. The survey subjects were people who were entitled to social housing support policies according to regulations, including: people with revolutionary contributions; poor and near-poor households in rural areas; low-income people, poor and near-poor households in urban areas; workers working in enterprises inside and outside industrial parks; officers, professional non-commissioned officers, technical non-commissioned officers, professional soldiers, workers in agencies and units of the People's Public Security and the People's Army; cadres, civil servants, public employees, etc.

Through this survey, Gia Loc district submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision on adding the social housing needs of Gia Loc district to the housing development plan in the province until 2030.
