On the afternoon of June 12, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue (PCTT and TKCN) of Hue City said that due to the influence of storm No. 1, from the evening of June 10 to this morning, Hue City had heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 150 to 350mm, with higher places such as Bach Ma peak with rainfall measuring 710mm, Giang Hai 469mm, Khe Tre 450mm.

Due to heavy rain in a short period of time, large areas have been flooded locally on many inter-village and inter-commune roads in Phong My and Phong Xuan communes (Phong Dien town); Loc An and Loc Dien communes (Phu Loc district); Hong Bac commune (A Luoi district); An Tay, Thuy Xuan, Xuan Phu, An Dong wards (Thuan Hoa district, Hue city); Thuan Loc ward (Phu Xuan district, Hue city).
Heavy rain also caused flooding of 12,758 hectares of rice and vegetables in low-lying areas in Hue City. Localities are currently actively operating pumps to drain flooded rice areas. Heavy rain also caused landslides and rock slides on the positive slope of the La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway (Phu Loc District, Hue City) and Provincial Road 14C through Village 2 (Huong Loc Commune, Phu Loc District). At Km 350 of Ho Chi Minh Road through Phu Vinh Commune (A Luoi District), a 15m-long negative slope collapsed. These areas have now been fenced off and warned of danger.

Heavy rain caused the water level of Huong Dien hydropower reservoir at 11:00 a.m. on June 12 to be +57.09 m, the inflow to the reservoir was 2,899 m3/s, the downstream inflow was 104 m3/s. To ensure the safety of the dam and downstream area, the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control of Hue City requested the operation of Huong Dien hydropower reservoir through the spillway and turbine with a gradual increase in flow, avoiding sudden changes of about 400 to 800 m3/s from 3:30 p.m. this afternoon. Currently, irrigation and hydropower reservoirs in Hue City are operating safely.

On the afternoon of the same day, before the final night of Miss Vietnam 2024, heavy rain caused the water level of the Huong River to rise almost to the floating stage at the Hue National University stele area - the location of the final night of Miss Vietnam 2024. Forces were mobilized to support the organizing committee in temporarily clearing equipment to avoid floods and ensure safety.
