On September 15, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that 16,134 bags of medicine have been transported by air and promptly delivered to the Departments of Health of Lao Cai, Lang Son, Phu Tho, Cao Bang, Yen Bai , Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan, and Thai Binh provinces.
It is expected that today (September 15), more than 10,000 family medicine bags will continue to be transported by air to quickly send to people in provinces heavily affected by storm No. 3.

“The Department of Health respectfully acknowledges and thanks the participation and contributions of private hospitals and private pharmaceutical companies in Ho Chi Minh City, and thanks the companionship of private enterprises that have prioritized free transportation for the city's health sector of 600 boxes weighing 6,710 kg to people in flood-affected areas,” Associate Professor, Dr. Tang Chi Thuong informed.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that it had just sent an official dispatch to the Departments of Health of the following provinces: Lang Son, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Bac Giang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Hoa Binh and Thai Binh about being ready to provide medical support to the northern provinces affected by storm No. 3, raising the issue of the first phase of support for each province with 1,000 medicine bags. If the Departments of Health of the provinces need to provide more medicine bags than the number expected by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, the Departments of Health of the provinces are requested to inform the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health of the quantity needed for support.
In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health is ready with human resources to support primary medical examination and treatment in the community and is ready with specialized human resources to support district and provincial hospitals when receiving requests from the Department of Health of the Northern provinces and cities or requests from the Ministry of Health.
