There were 14.6 thousand enterprises returning to operation, up 1.6% compared to the previous month and up 78.3% compared to the same period in 2024. Although July recorded a sharp decline in the number of newly established enterprises compared to the previous month, the cumulative number of newly established and returning enterprises in the first 7 months still reached the highest level in many years, reflecting a clear recovery trend of the economy .

In the first 7 months of this year, the whole country had 107,700 newly registered enterprises with a total registered capital of VND928,400 billion and a total number of employees of 670,000, up 10.6%, 5.5% and 11.6% respectively over the same period last year. The average registered capital reached VND8.6 billion/enterprise, down 4.6%.

Notably, the total registered capital added to the economy in the first 7 months exceeded VND3.3 trillion, up 93.7% over the same period in 2024. The additional capital of operating enterprises alone reached more than VND2.4 trillion, nearly 2.9 times higher than the same period. This shows that businesses' confidence in expanding production and business is being strengthened.

Along with the number of newly established enterprises, the country had 66.3 thousand enterprises returning to operation, an increase of nearly 50% compared to the same period last year. Thus, the total number of newly established and returning enterprises in 7 months reached 174 thousand, an increase of 22.9%. On average, 24.9 thousand enterprises entered the market each month.

More than 174,000 businesses were established and returned to the market, reflecting a clear recovery trend of the economy.

In addition to positive signals, the number of enterprises withdrawing from the market is still at a remarkable level. In July 2025 alone, there were 7.3 thousand enterprises temporarily suspending business, 4.4 thousand enterprises temporarily suspending operations pending dissolution procedures, and 1.9 thousand enterprises completing dissolution procedures.

In the first 7 months, the number of enterprises temporarily suspending business for a period of time was 88.6 thousand, up 13.6% over the same period; 41.5 thousand enterprises temporarily suspended operations pending dissolution, up 16.7%; and 14.3 thousand enterprises completed dissolution procedures, up 20.5%. On average, 20.6 thousand enterprises withdrew from the market each month.

The fact that the number of businesses entering the market continues to increase strongly despite difficulties shows that resilience and entrepreneurial spirit are recovering. However, the pressure of capital costs, product consumption and market competition still causes many businesses to suspend or dissolve. Therefore, to maintain the momentum, it is necessary to continue solutions to support businesses in accessing credit, reducing input costs and expanding the consumer market.
