More than 20 Northern universities accept high school transcript applications from May

(Dan Tri) - Currently, more than 100 universities have announced that they will consider high school transcripts for admission in the 2025 admissions period. Many universities will start accepting applications based on high school transcripts from May, some of which have conditions attached.

Since April, more than 20 northern universities have opened their portals to receive applications for 2025 high school transcripts.

From June 9 to June 22, Foreign Trade University accepts applications; Vietnam University of Fine Arts accepts applications from now until May 31; Phenikaa University from now until June 30.

The Academy of Journalism and Propaganda will start accepting applications from May 20-30. This year, the academy will consider the transcripts of 6 semesters according to the combination of majors.

From the end of May, Banking Academy will accept applications based on high school transcripts . The school plans to accept applications for 2 weeks. The Academy reserves 20% of its admission quota for candidates with excellent academic performance in grade 12 and with an average score of 8 or higher for each subject in the group of subjects registered for admission for 3 years.

At the May 15 deadline, a series of schools such as: University of Construction, University of Commerce, Hanoi Open University, University of Natural Resources and Environment, University of Science and Technology, Hanoi University of Industry..., announced receiving applications for admission based on high school transcripts in 2025.

Specifically, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering considers admission based on the average score of 3 years of high school of subjects in the corresponding admission group, applicable to all majors and majors except for majors/majors that consider aptitude subjects.

Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment requires all candidates applying for admission based on their academic records to declare their "study results survey" and their wishes to enter the school, expected to open from May 15, so that the school can compile information. The school notes that the survey data declared on this information portal is not valid for official admission.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology opens registration portal for talent recruitment in 2025 and authentication and conversion of foreign language certificates.

Accordingly, the talent selection method of Hanoi University of Science and Technology includes 3 aspects: First, direct selection of candidates with high achievements in national or international exams and competitions according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .

To participate in the selection, candidates must have won third prize or higher in the national excellent student selection exam, the national excellent student selection exam for international and regional Olympic competitions, the national science and technology competition (ViSEF) or the international competition (ICEF). Candidates can register for a maximum of 3 wishes. The selection fee is 200,000 VND.

Second, admission based on international certificates. Candidates participating in the admission must have an average score of 8.0 or higher in each year of grades 10, 11, and 12 and have one of the following international certificates: SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB.

In this category, candidates can register for admission to 65 majors/training programs, with no limit on the number of wishes. The registration fee is 300,000 VND.

This year, the University of Commerce will consider a combination of foreign language certificates, international testing certificates with the math transcript scores and the remaining subjects in the non-foreign language group of candidates graduating from high school in 2025.

The score of each subject is determined as the average score of 3 years of high school.

This method only considers admission for international career-oriented programs, international dual degree programs, and advanced programs.

From May 15 to July 25, Hanoi Open University accepts applications based on high school transcripts. The school accepts applications for two majors: Biotechnology and Food Technology. Candidates applying for admission must have a total score of 17 points or higher, and no subject below 5 points.

Previously, around April to early May, schools such as the University of Electricity, University of Architecture, and Vietnam Academy of Agriculture received applications for admission based on transcripts.

In particular, the University of Electricity considers admission based on the academic results of 3 years of high school. Candidates must have a total admission score of 3 subjects in the admission group of no less than 18 points.

The University of Architecture considers the transcripts of 6 semesters of high school for some majors, applied to both candidates graduating from high school in 2025 and before 2025.

From May 5 to July 20, Vietnam Agricultural Academy receives applications for high school transcripts. The school considers admission based on the average score of the entire 12th grade year on a 10-point scale of 3 subjects according to the admission combination (in which subject 1 is multiplied by a coefficient of 2, the total score is converted to a 30-point scale) plus priority points.
