More than 294 billion VND mobilized to care for the poor

According to information from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, in the first 6 months of 2025, the fund for the poor at all levels in Dong Nai mobilized more than 81.5 billion VND to implement social security programs. The total value of mobilization and support through the fund for the poor at all levels and direct mobilization from the community under the supervision of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and member organizations at all levels is more than 294 billion VND.

The fund was effectively used to support the construction and repair of 413 charity houses, give nearly 18,000 gifts to poor households, more than 3,400 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances, support medical examination and treatment, issue health insurance cards, and production capital for poor and near-poor households. In addition, the province also supported the construction of libraries, clean water facilities, and participated in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in neighboring provinces.
