Long An Three bridges spanning the Dong Vam Co River, Tay Vam Co River and Can Giuoc River located on provincial road 827E, with a total investment of more than 4,700 billion VND, are expected to start construction at the end of next year.

The information was announced by the Long An Department of Transport on July 20. The three bridges are located on provincial road 827E, connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Long An - Tien Giang . The project has a foreign loan of 174 million USD, equivalent to more than 4,000 billion VND, the remaining counterpart capital is more than 700 billion VND.
Of which, the bridge across Can Giuoc River (Can Giuoc District) consists of two parallel bridges, each with a total length of 2.7 km and a width of over 14 m. The two bridges across the Vam Co Dong River (Tan Tru District) and Vam Co Tay River (Chau Thanh District) in phase 1 are each over 6 km long including access roads, with a bridge surface 13 m wide.

When completed, the three bridges will play a connecting role, creating a continuous traffic route from Ho Chi Minh City through Long An and Tien Giang in the East, contributing to reducing pressure on National Highway 1 and National Highway 50.
The three bridges in Long An are part of a $2.53 billion loan package from six foreign partners for 16 sustainable development projects in the Mekong Delta that was approved in principle by the Prime Minister on July 8.
