Specifically, the CSAT project has supported the Provincial People's Committee to implement the Mekong Delta Regional Planning, prepare socio -economic development plans, build sectoral plans and consult on amending the Planning Law.
Value chain development (VCAP) with results: Completing 8 value chain development plans for coconut, green-skin pomelo, durian, pork, cow, shrimp, seedlings, ornamental flowers; organizing workshops, training, signing agreements with departments and branches to integrate resources. Organizing 37 workshops, 72 training courses for 6,321 people, aiming at green, organic production, e-commerce and cooperative development, in which, focusing on training for women and youth to access capital, make production and business plans.
Investing in public infrastructure adapting to climate change such as building and upgrading public infrastructure, including economic infrastructure, green infrastructure, adaptive infrastructure serving the sustainable development of key agricultural value chains (coconut, fruit trees and seedlings, pig and cattle farming and aquaculture) of the province, through bridges, roads, culverts, dredging canals, dykes, and dykes combined with traffic. To date, 35 projects have been completed in 2023, 30 new projects have been implemented in 2024 and documents and procedures are being prepared to implement 13 projects in 2025.

According to CSAT Ben Tre, up to now, 56,107 people have benefited from the project (the project target is 120,000 people), including 28,410 women, 10,475 youths and 6,645 poor and vulnerable households. The biggest difficulty of the project in the current phase is the lack of aid capital to carry out activities to achieve the goals according to the project design.
It is known that the Project on Developing Smart Agricultural Value Chains Adapting to Climate Change in Ben Tre Province will be implemented from 2023 to 2027. The total cost is 27 million USD, of which, IFAD loan is 17 million USD; non-refundable aid is 4.5 million USD; local counterpart capital is 5.5 million USD.
The overall objective of the CSAT project is to support the development of sustainable agriculture adapting to climate change in the Mekong Delta in Ben Tre province according to Resolution 120/NQ-CP of the Government.
