According to a representative from the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority, in order to meet the demand for air transport during the April 30th - May 1st holiday and the peak summer season of 2025, domestic airlines have proactively prepared resources, added aircraft, and developed plans to increase flights to serve the peak period, especially increasing capacity on domestic routes.

Specifically, on domestic routes, Vietnamese airlines are expected to operate 7,536 flights (an average of 685 flights per day), representing increases of 24% and 21% respectively.

The total number of seats available during this period is expected to be around 1.5 million, representing a 20% increase compared to the flight schedule before the increase in flights and a 22% increase compared to the same period last year.

Of these, the majority of flights were on routes to and from Ho Chi Minh City, with 5,083 flights (an average of 462 flights/day), representing increases of 21% and 21% respectively.
