According to statistics, the whole province has more than 8,400 candidates registered to take the exam for the optional subject group. Of which, History has 4,155 candidates; Geography has 3,518 candidates. The remaining subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economic and Legal Education, Foreign Languages, Information Technology, have the number of candidates ranging from 1,000 to more than 2,000.
The exams are organized in the form of objective tests, with 50 minutes per subject.

According to the records, the exam questions of elective subjects are assessed to closely follow the 2018 General Education Program, have a reasonable structure and ensure the goal of assessing capacity and classifying students.
In the Natural Science group, many questions are related to practice, requiring the application of interdisciplinary knowledge. In particular, the Chemistry question is considered to have clear innovation, reducing theory and increasing application. Physics and Biology are within the range but still have differentiation.

For the Social Science group, History, Geography, and CivicEducation continue to be popular choices. The exam questions are suitable and familiar to students.
Notably, Geography does not use Atlas, requiring the ability to memorize and analyze charts and data. Civics has many situational questions close to life.
English is considered to have the highest level of differentiation, especially in reading comprehension and vocabulary, requiring students to have good language skills and effective test-taking methods.

Candidate Vi Hoang Ngoc Anh, taking the exam at Dak Mil High School (Dak Mil district) shared: "This year's exam is different from previous years. Some exam questions such as English, Geography, and Math are more difficult than the sample exam. The remaining subjects basically follow the program, in which I find the Legal Education subject the easiest to "get" points."

Candidate Tran Van Long, grade 12, Tran Hung Dao High School (Dak Mil) shared: "This year's exam questions are highly differentiated. However, those who only take the exam for graduation can still easily get the score. I think many candidates will get a score of 6-7 points."

With the completion of the combined exam this morning, candidates registered under the 2018 General Education Program have officially concluded this year's high school graduation exam. The province recorded a total of 40 absentees, of which 12 were absent from Literature, 8 were absent from Math, and 20 were absent from elective subjects. There was one case of a candidate violating exam regulations.
This afternoon (June 27), candidates of the 2006 General Education Program continued to take the Foreign Language exam.
