After two compulsory subjects on the first day of the exam, Literature and Mathematics, candidates entered the optional exam with a more relaxed and less pressured mentality. Talking to candidates at the exam site of Che Lan Vien High School, Cam Lo district, after finishing the 2 optional exams, many students said that this year's English exam did not have much differentiation, with many questions within their ability.
Nguyen Ai Nhien, a student at Dong Ha High School, commented that this year's English exam mainly tested knowledge of phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, communication functions, writing and reading skills, which are all familiar knowledge to candidates. The reading comprehension part was a bit difficult because it required higher thinking. As for Physics, it was quite suitable, because there were many types similar to the sets of questions that she had reviewed.

Also taking the two elective subjects, English and Physics, Nguyen Kim Lien, Dong Ha High School, shared that the English exam was easy but also had many high-level questions. She predicted her average score would be 6.5-7.5 points. Only those who are truly excellent can achieve a score of 9-10.

Arriving before the end of the two elective exams at the Che Lan Vien High School exam site, many parents waiting for their children under the hot sun were worried. Mr. Tran Van Hoang in Dong Luong Ward, Dong Ha City shared that this was the first exam his children took under the twoeducational programs of 2006 and the 2018 General Education Program. His son had to take the exam under the 2018 General Education Program with 2 elective subjects out of the remaining 9 subjects studied in grade 12. To support his son, he also researched more types of questions online to review with him over the past time. Hopefully, his son will stay calm and do well on the test.

At the exam site of Cua Viet Secondary School, Gio Linh District, many friends and some parents were waiting with fresh bouquets of flowers in hand to congratulate the candidates on their successful completion of the exam this morning. Picking up their children at the exam site gate, many parents were happy, excited and praised the candidates for their efforts throughout the review process and especially in this exam.

Candidate Phan Nguyen Nhu Quynh, at the exam site of Cua Viet Secondary School, said: “Through discussions with my friends after the exam this morning, most of them did well in History and Geography. As for me, with good grades in these two subjects and a thorough review process, I was able to stay calm and confident to complete the exam well. I believe I will get 9 points in History and 10 points in Geography.
I was very happy when my family and friends came to give me flowers to congratulate me after the exam this morning. This joy will be the motivation for me to try harder to achieve more new achievements in the future."

The second day of the 2025 high school graduation exam at the testing sites in Hai Lang, Trieu Phong districts and Quang Tri town took place in cool, pleasant weather. After passing the two compulsory subjects of the first day, which were relatively difficult, the candidates' mentality today was quite comfortable with the elective subjects. Most of the candidates at the above testing sites felt relieved and happy after completing the exam.
According to the reporter, the exam atmosphere at Chu Van An High School, Trieu Phong district was safe and orderly; the volunteer team wholeheartedly supported the candidates and their parents with bottles of cool water, cartons of fresh milk...
In an excited mood, Tran Tuyet Suong, a student at Chu Van An High School, said she chose to take the Natural Science exam according to the 2006 General Education Program and when the results are out, she will apply to study abroad in Korea as she wishes.
“I did quite well on the multiple choice Chemistry and Biology tests. I got about 2-3 questions wrong in Biology; I did okay in Chemistry but could have gotten more wrong. I predict that I will get over 6 points in each subject. In my opinion, the Natural Science subjects this year are relatively longer and more difficult,” Suong shared.

According to a quick report from the Quang Tri Department of Education and Training, in the first elective subject, a total of 8,897 candidates took the exam, reaching a rate of 99.6%. 36 candidates were absent. Meanwhile, in the second elective subject, a total of 8,884 candidates took the exam, with 34 candidates absent, reaching a rate of 99.62%.
Candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program will take the final Foreign Language exam this afternoon, June 27.
