- On September 27, at Loc Binh commune, the Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and the communes of Khuat Xa, Loc Binh, Loi Bac, Mau Son, Na Duong, Thong Nhat, and Xuan Duong to organize the Blood Donation Festival of Lang Son province in 2025.

With the message “Every drop of blood - Giving kindness”, the voluntary blood donation festival attracted more than 870 cadres, civil servants, employees, workers, armed forces and people from all walks of life to register to donate blood. Through health check-ups and blood screening tests, 589 people were eligible to donate blood, equivalent to 589 units of blood, reaching 113.2% of the set target.

The collected blood will be sent to the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to separate blood components, then distributed to hospitals and regional medical centers in the province to help overcome the shortage of blood in emergency and patient treatment. It is known that this is the first blood donation program coordinated by the Provincial Red Cross after implementing the two-level local government model.
