Hong Le wins marathon in Hai Phong.

Pham Thi Hong Le and Huynh Anh Khoi faced no competition at the marathon held in Hai Phong on the morning of May 17th.

On the morning of May 17th, the Hai Phong Legacy Marathon 2026 - Footprints of the Port City, took place on Vu Yen Island, Hai Phong City, with the participation of over 8,000 domestic and international athletes. Notably, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau personally attended and participated in the race.

Over 8,000 athletes competed in the tournament.

The event brought together dozens of running clubs from across the country, including many prominent athletes such as Pham Thi Hong Le - the owner of many SEA Games medals in the 42km marathon distance, and Huynh Anh Khoi - who is known as the "king of marathons" in Vietnam.

Hong Le has no rivals in the full marathon event.

A convincing victory for Huynh Anh Khoi.

As expected, Pham Thi Hong Le finished first in the women's 42km race, followed by Hoang Huong Thuy in second place, while Le Minh Tuan finished third. In the men's 42km race, Huynh Anh Khoi also affirmed his top-tier status in Vietnam by finishing first, while Le Van Huong came second and Vu Trong Long finished third overall.

According to the organizers, more than 8,000 athletes completed the races of the Hai Phong Legacy Marathon 2026. This year's event made a big impact thanks to the support and partnership from Thai An Holdings Group and Thai An EcoMotion.
