Merging Ca Mau and Bac Lieu: The new Provincial Party Executive Committee has 61 members

It is expected that after the merger of the two provinces of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu, the new Provincial Party Executive Committee will have 61 members; the Provincial Standing Committee will have 23 people eligible for re-election and the maximum number of deputies will be 6 people per department.

On May 21, news from the Working Group for the Project to merge the two provinces of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu said that it is expected that after the merger , the new Provincial Party Executive Committee will have 61 members, including 2 young cadres and 5 female cadres; the new Provincial Standing Committee will consist of 29 people, of which 23 are eligible for re-election .

Proposal to keep U Minh Ha National Park intact, not merge after merging the two provinces of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu

Regarding the administrative apparatus, the plan to reorganize the provincial government has been agreed upon by the two localities according to the principles of synchronization, connectivity, avoiding overlap and ensuring continuous operation without interruption after the merger.

Notably, the maximum number of deputy heads of departments, branches and units is 6 people; the Department of Agriculture and Environment will have 1 more deputy head due to the nature of the work. The Front and mass organizations will have 4 deputy heads.

Proposal to maintain the status quo for U Minh Ha National Park, Mui Ca Mau National Park and Bac Lieu University - which are separate units, not completely dependent on administrative boundaries .

It is expected that by June 30, the post-merger personnel plan must be submitted to the Provincial Standing Committee.
