People of Hop Nhat village develop a vegetable growing model that brings economic efficiency.

Mr. Hoang Van Cuong, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Hop Nhat Village shared: The village has 184 households, with 833 people, including Tay, Nung, Kinh, Dao ethnic groups living together, the villagers mainly produce agriculture - forestry, and do business services. In recent years, under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the commune government, the Party Cell, and the Village Front Work Committee have propagated and mobilized people to participate in emulation movements launched by superiors and achieved many positive results.

In economic development, the village has actively encouraged people to apply science and technology in production, select and cultivate high-value crops and livestock. Since then, many households have invested in developing economic models of gardens, ponds, barns, and forests, contributing to increasing income. Currently, the village has effective economic models such as: forest planting (acacia, cinnamon, eucalyptus) with an area of 140 hectares; fruit trees (Dien grapefruit, plum, pear, peach) with an area of 15 hectares; vegetable planting with an area of 15 hectares; tobacco with an area of 15 hectares. In addition, people also develop livestock models, service businesses, etc. This is a typical village of the commune in shifting the crop structure, thereby helping people increase their income and become rich. The whole village currently has 120 households with an income of over 100 million VND/year; the average income per capita of the village reaches 62 million VND/person/year; The poverty rate fell to 2.1%.

Mr. Luong Dinh Kien's family is one of the typical households in economic development. Mr. Kien said: Through research and participation in training courses on science and technology transfer organized by the commune, in 2023, I decided to invest in a greenhouse with an area of over 1,000 m2, with a full lighting system, automatic irrigation to grow vegetables, tubers and vegetable seeds to supply to the market. On average, each year, my family sells more than 6 tons of finished vegetables and more than 300,000 vegetable seedlings to the market, bringing in an income of over 240 million VND.

For the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", the village has mobilized people to donate land, contribute money and working days to join hands to implement the criteria. Specifically, in the period of 2020 - 2025, the whole village has 12 households donating land to expand rural roads; people contributed 550 million VND in cash to upgrade and repair rural roads, expand cultural houses; contributed 80 million VND to install lighting systems on the roads.

In addition, the village also mobilized people to regularly clean village roads and alleys; planted 530m of pearl tree; the whole village has 10 households investing in building model gardens; 80% of households in the village pay waste collection fees, contributing to keeping the environment clean and beautiful.

In addition to the above emulation movements, Hop Nhat village also successfully carried out other emulation movements launched by superiors. Accordingly, the cultural, artistic and sports activities of the village attracted a large number of people to participate; security and order in the area were always ensured.

Ms. Duong Thi Thanh Thinh, Chairman of Tan Tri Commune People's Committee, assessed: In recent years, Hop Nhat village has continuously promoted the spirit of solidarity and creativity in emulation movements launched by the locality and superiors. Under the leadership of the Party Cell, the Village Front Work Committee and the joint efforts of the people, the village has achieved many outstanding results in various fields, becoming a typical village in the patriotic emulation movement, contributing to the socio-economic development of the commune. With those efforts, Hop Nhat village was recently awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020 - 2025.
