
Accordingly, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has been propagating and mobilizing agencies, units, localities, collectives, individuals, philanthropists, and people from all walks of life inside and outside the province to support resources to support people affected by the storm. In particular, on October 9, 2025, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee advised on the issuance of an Open Letter of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on mobilizing support for people affected by storms and floods in the province.
Based on the open letter, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has propagated and called for practical support, sharing and assistance from businesses, agencies, organizations, collectives and individuals inside and outside the province so that the locality has more resources to support people to overcome difficulties, soon stabilize their lives, and restore production and business.
As a result, by the afternoon of October 12, 2025, the Provincial "Relief" Fund had received financial support of more than 20 billion VND. Up to now, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has disbursed resources worth a total of 12 billion VND from this fund to help people in communes in the province severely affected by natural disasters.
Due to the impact of storm No. 11 (MATMO), as of 3 p.m. on October 9, in the province, 3 people were injured; 5,100 households had their houses collapsed, flooded, or had landslides; 9 educational facilities were affected; 668 traffic points were eroded and flooded; over 3,894 hectares of rice, 1,028 hectares of crops were flooded; 30 hectares of fruit trees, 58 hectares of forest were broken; 29 electric poles were broken. In addition, over 100 irrigation works and items were damaged, with varying degrees of damage... The total estimated damage is over 1,050 billion VND. |
In addition, the Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards in the province also proactively propagated and mobilized support for areas severely damaged by the storm. Mr. Cap Trong Luong, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Van Linh commune, said: Promoting the spirit of "Mutual love", on October 10, the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune advised the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune to launch a call for all cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and people in the commune to join hands to support and share difficulties with people in disaster areas. Right at the launching ceremony, 20 million VND was received in support and the commune established a delegation to promptly provide support to areas severely damaged; currently, the Fatherland Front Committee is continuing to propagate and mobilize support for this work...
Comrade Nguyen Hoang Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, said: The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has also directed the province's socio- political organizations, mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State, and the grassroots front system to promote the role of propaganda, mobilizing support for funding, necessities, and environmental sanitation in post-flood areas. Thereby, contributing to the early stabilization of operations of agencies, units, and schools, and the early stabilization of people's lives and activities after natural disasters.
In Thien Tan commune, one of the localities heavily affected by storm No. 11, in recent days, the Fatherland Front system in the area has proactively connected and received support to distribute to affected people. Mr. Cao Huy Hai, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thien Tan commune informed: In the area, there are more than 200 houses flooded, 5 houses collapsed, 21 houses affected by landslides, over 70% of rice and crop areas were damaged... To support people, the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has called for, received, and allocated resources to the people. As of the afternoon of October 10, the commune has received and distributed over 1,200 gifts, each including essential items such as necessities and drinking water to people in the area, thereby contributing to helping people overcome immediate difficulties.
Not only supporting essential supplies, the coordination work to support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters of the Fatherland Front system in the province is also through many other practical and meaningful activities.
Accordingly, in addition to relief supplies, through the above resources, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has deployed financial support according to the support level for each subject. Specifically, support for policy families, poor and near-poor households affected by storms is 1.5 million VND/household; support for people injured by storms is 5 million VND/case; initially support up to 15 kg of rice/person/month for those who are hungry due to natural disasters.
Currently, the relief work is being continued by the Fatherland Front system in the province through activities of mobilizing, receiving and allocating support resources, helping people affected by natural disasters, ensuring timeliness, effectiveness, "leaving no one behind".
