Cracking down on the case of manufacturing and selling 3 million fake fire extinguishers

Regarding the case of manufacturing and trading fake fire extinguishers branded DRAGON that occurred in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Tay Ninh, on the afternoon of October 14, Hanoi Police said that 2 companies produced fake fire extinguishers and sold more than 3 million products to the market, earning more than 1,000 billion VND.

According to Hanoi Police, from the fact that fire extinguishers could not put out the fire that occurred in the area recently, the police discovered that the DRAGON brand fire extinguishers being distributed and consumed were of poor quality.

During the investigation, it was determined that Vietlink Production, Trade and Service Company, the factory located in the Hai Son Industrial Park expansion in Duc Hoa commune, Tay Ninh province, with Dang Quoc Hoang as the legal representative of Vietlink Company and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, directly organized and managed the production of DRAGON brand fire extinguishers.

Since the beginning of 2025, Vietlink Company has transferred production technology to An Phu Electricity and Lighting Joint Stock Company, whose legal representative, manager and operator is Phung Huu Loi, 42 years old, in Hanoi. The suspects distributed fake fire extinguishers to the market through 2 level 1 agents and gathered at 7 locations in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Tay Ninh.

Currently, Hanoi Police are consolidating documents to prosecute the criminal case of manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods, prosecute the accused, and at the same time investigate and clarify other related crimes according to regulations.
