- On the morning of October 15, during the working program in Lang Son , the delegation of the Standing Committee of Son La Provincial Party Committee visited the smart border gate model at Huu Nghi International Border Gate (Dong Dang commune).

Taking the delegation on a tour, on the side of Lang Son province, there was comrade Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of relevant departments, branches and functional forces at the border gate.

At Huu Nghi International Border Gate, the delegation was introduced to the smart border gate model, applying technology in management, monitoring and facilitating import and export activities of goods and immigration. Accordingly, Huu Nghi International Border Gate is the first border gate in the country to be selected to pilot the construction of a smart border gate model with a total implementation cost of 7,968 billion VND. The model implementation period is divided into 2 phases: from the third quarter of 2024 to the end of the second quarter of 2026 focusing on infrastructure construction; from the third quarter of 2026 to the end of the third quarter of 2029 implementing the pilot operation. According to the project, the smart border gate will apply artificial intelligence (AI), unmanned autonomous vehicles (AGV), warehouse management systems using smart cameras... This is a pioneering model of Lang Son in the digital transformation process, contributing to improving the efficiency of border trade management and improving the investment and business environment.
