With capital from the Provincial Cooperative Development Support Fund, Cooperative 30/4 ( Hoa Binh District) has built and developed a farming area with international quality standards. After many farming seasons, the cooperative's production activities have now achieved many successes.

Currently, the 30/4 Cooperative also cooperates with seafood processing enterprises in the province to purchase products directly, eliminating intermediaries, increasing profits for members. In particular, gradually approaching and certifying to meet international standards to increase the value of shrimp, helping members not only ensure output, but also the selling price of farmed shrimp is 3-15% higher than the market. With the form of super-intensive farming in floating round ponds, a closed water treatment process, farmed shrimp achieves quality, develops well and gives more stable profits, creates jobs and increases income for members and workers. Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoc - Director of the 30/4 Cooperative, shared: "Since its establishment, the Cooperative has always strived to improve the farming process and techniques to meet the requirements for traceability of farmed shrimp. From there, it opens up a direction for production linkage with specific consumption addresses, helping members to feel secure when entering the season and have a stable income".
With a clear production plan, the cooperative has received preferential loans from the Provincial Cooperative Development Support Fund to invest in equipment, feed and expand production. Receiving preferential loans to invest in science and technology development not only helps cooperative members overcome the most difficult period but also opens up great opportunities for the cooperative to expand when meeting the necessary conditions to achieve ASC international certification (international certification confirming that aquatic products are farmed responsibly, minimizing negative impacts on the environment, community and ensuring the rights of workers). Because they are raised in a closed process, the cooperative's farming area has ensured safe farming; the origin of the breed is clear, tested before stocking. During the farming process, the cooperative uses microorganisms and lime powder to improve the water instead of toxic chemicals. In addition, during production, members have used resources effectively and protected the environment. With ASC certification, the cooperative has been linked with businesses in the province to purchase and process shrimp for export at prices higher than the market.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu Ha - Vice President of the Provincial Cooperative Union, and Director of the Provincial Cooperative Development Support Fund, said: “When the 30/4 Cooperative achieves ASC certification, it not only creates an advantage to maintain profits in production, but it is also a necessary condition for a number of seafood processing enterprises in the province to increase their competitiveness in the international market. Because when there is a shrimp farming area that meets international standards, enterprises will be able to build quality and brands for their own products, in order to overcome competition as well as technical barriers of demanding markets.”
