Huawei proposes solar energy solutions.

At the Vietnam Industry 4.0 Summit 2023, Mr. Le Nho Thong, Deputy Director of Digital Power Business at Huawei Vietnam, delivered a notable speech on "Solar Power Technology Solutions for Vietnam".

With over 10 years of focused research and development in the solar power sector, Huawei has strived to overcome challenges through long-term R&D plans and continuous innovation, aiming to deliver groundbreaking solutions to its customers.

By 2022, Huawei held 30% of the global market share for smart solar power controllers (Smart PV Controllers), with a total capacity of up to 300GW. Huawei's smart string energy storage (Smart String ESS) also accounted for 14% of the global market share, and the sales share of its partners increased to 77% from 65% in 2021.

"If 10 years ago the solar power industry developed smart chain technology, then smart storage technology (ESS) will be widely applied in the next 10 years. The combination of solar power and smart storage (ESS) will accelerate the transformation of solar power into a primary energy source in the future. Meanwhile, the combination of 'Solar Power - Smart Storage (ESS) - Grid - Virtual Power Plant' will create smart super solar power plants…," Mr. Thong emphasized.

Huawei's digital energy technology solutions have contributed to the production of 7.695 billion kWh of green electricity, reducing emissions by 3.5 million tons of carbon, equivalent to planting 4.8 billion trees – a huge contribution to the world 's greener and smarter energy transition future.

Through the event, Mr. Le Nho Thong pointed out three important factors to promote the energy transition from "natural resources" to "technological innovation": close global cooperation in achieving carbon neutrality; ensuring energy security to achieve energy independence; and technological advancements that bring business value.

"Huawei is constantly innovating its technology, products, and solutions, working closely with like-minded partners to set standards and promote the development of the solar energy and smart storage industries," according to Mr. Le Nho Thong.
