Huawei launches 11.5-inch tablet, competing directly with iPad Air 5

Huawei MatePad 11.5"S impresses with its thinness of only 6.2mm and weight of 510g. The product comes in three main colors: purple, space gray and frosted silver, creating a luxurious and modern look. The entire body is made of solid metal, covered with a matte paint to increase aesthetics and a comfortable grip.

Huawei MatePad 11.5"S is one of the few tablets on the market equipped with PaperMatte screen technology. Practical experience shows that the PaperMatte screen works relatively effectively when it can handle glare and does not reflect light when users use it under lights or outdoors in the sun.

The screen of the device is 11.5 inches in size, using an LCD panel with a resolution of 2.8K, a ratio of 3: 2 and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The display quality of this screen is good, with true colors and wide viewing angles. This screen is also covered with a matte nano layer to help reduce fingerprints during use, while making touch and writing operations feel like on paper.

The device uses Huawei's Kirin 9000 WL chip, combined with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal memory, providing a smooth experience in multitasking. Drawing and office applications run stably, with little lag, creating favorable conditions for work and creativity.

The device uses the HarmonyOS operating system with the App Gallery application store. By default, the device will not support applications and services from Google. However, users can still set up and use Google services themselves through the GBox toolkit downloaded from the App Gallery.

Accessories included with the Huawei MatePad 11.5"S include a keyboard and M-Pencil Gen 3, providing maximum support for note-taking and drawing. The keyboard connects quickly and stably, while the M-Pencil supports more than 10,000 levels of pressure sensitivity, suitable for both drawing and presenting.

Huawei also introduced many supporting applications such as GoPaint and Huawei Notes, helping to optimize the user experience. The WPS Office suite provides a PC-like feel, improving work efficiency.

The battery that comes with the device has a capacity of 8,800mAh. The limitation is that fast charging capacity only supports 25W.

MatePad 11.5"S is being sold in the Vietnamese market at a price of 13.5 million VND. The device will compete directly with some rivals in the same price segment such as Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus and iPad Air 5.
