Huawei has officially launched the MatePad Pro Max, the company's latest high-end tablet, attracting attention with its ultra-thin design and impressive hardware specifications. The product was introduced at a major event in Bangkok (Thailand) and is positioned as a slimmer and lighter version of the 13.2-inch MatePad Pro.
The most striking feature of the MatePad Pro Max is its slim profile of just 4.7mm and weight of 499g, even thinner than Apple's 13-inch iPad Pro, which is 5.1mm thick.
Compared to the standard 13.2-inch MatePad Pro (5.5mm), the Max version has also been refined to achieve maximum thinness, creating a clear advantage in portability. Therefore, Huawei confidently claims this is the world's thinnest and lightest premium tablet currently available.
The front of the device features a 13.2-inch flexible PaperMatte OLED display with 3K resolution, supporting a 144Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of up to 1,600 nits, along with 1440Hz PWM dimming technology.

Huawei emphasizes the PaperMatte coating's ability to reduce glare, increasing comfort in brightly lit environments, and providing a more realistic paper-like experience when reading or taking notes. The screen bezels are also extremely thin, at only 3.55mm, optimizing the display space to a near-bezel-less design.
Huawei has also cleverly integrated a 12MP selfie camera into the slim bezel on the front, while the rear features a 50MP main camera for capturing detailed images.
Despite its very thin body, the device is equipped with a large 10,400mAh battery, supporting 40W reverse charging, providing up to over 14 hours of video playback time according to the manufacturer.

The sound system has also been heavily invested in, featuring 6 speakers and 4 microphones, aiming for a vibrant multimedia entertainment experience.
Beyond just entertainment, the MatePad Pro Max is also geared towards being a work device. It supports the detachable Glide Folio keyboard and the M-Pencil Pro stylus.

It also allows opening three windows simultaneously and running applications at PC-level performance, enhancing multitasking capabilities for mobile work. Huawei also claims that performance is increased by approximately 20% and heat dissipation is improved by 30% compared to the MatePad Pro 2025.
In terms of specifications, the device has 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, and comes in two color options: blue and space gray. However, the announced starting price of around £999.99 (approximately 35.8 million VND) makes the product inaccessible to the general public, although Huawei is hoping this will be one of the most noteworthy Android tablets this year if the real-world experience lives up to the advertised claims.
