Instructions on how to look up driver's license information

1. Look up driver's license information online

In this way, agencies, organizations and individuals can exploit driver's license data directly from the driver's license website (http://www.gplx.gov.vn) according to regulations on security levels and authorization to use and exploit driver's license data.

Next, fill in all required information and click on the " Look up driver's license " button:

+ Choose the type of driver's license corresponding to your license type: PET driver's license (with validity) for classes A4, B1, B2, C, D, E, FB2, FC, FD, FE; PET driver's license (without validity) for classes A1, A2 and A3; Old driver's license (made of cardboard) for driver's licenses issued before July 2013.

+ Driver's license number: Enter the number printed on the driver's license.

+ Date of birth: Enter the date, month, and year of birth as shown on your driver's license.

+ Security code: Enter the security code provided on the website.

If the website displays the same driver's license information as the content on your driver's license, then your driver's license is valid.

If the website says "Error. Driver's license information not found in the national driver's license database!", there could be a number of reasons such as you entered incorrect information, the information is not updated or there is a possibility that your driver's license is fake.

2. Look up driver 's license information via SMS

The method of looking up driving license by SMS message is only possible for new PET material driving licenses.

To look up, users compose a message according to the following syntax:

TC [space] [ Driver's License Number ] send to 0936.083.578 or 0936.081.778.

For example: TC AX12345xxxx sent to 0936.083.578.

After successfully sending the message, the system will automatically respond with the driver's license information that you need to look up on your phone such as: Driver's license class, expiration date, serial number, violation status,...

Note: Users looking up driver's license information by SMS will have to pay a fee.

3. Indirect exploitation of driver's license information

Agencies, organizations and individuals who need to exploit detailed driver's license data, depending on the level of security, are provided with information taken from the driver's license database.

- Information printed on the driver's license.

- In case of request from competent authority, in addition to the information printed on the driver's license, additional information about training, testing, and violations of road traffic laws will be provided.

Principles of data mining on the driver 's license information system

- The exploitation of driving license data is carried out in accordance with the provisions of law on information technology.

- The agency managing the driving license information system specified in Article 4 of Circular 07/2013/TT-BGTVT is responsible for protecting information and personal data in the driving license database on the network environment according to the provisions of the law on information technology.

- Driver's license data mining services are provided to agencies, organizations and individuals according to regulations.
