To meet the requirements for maintaining the Farming Area Code (Farmdiary Code) and the Export Packaging Facility Code (Packaging Facility Code) in the near future, over two days (November 6-7) in Phan Thiet City, the Provincial Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, in coordination with the Plant Protection Department, organized a training course on electronic Farmdiary record keeping; software for managing Packaging Facilities, issuing and managing Farming Area Codes, and packaging facilities for export.

The training course was attended by approximately 170 delegates, including representatives from various departments, local People's Committees, and representatives from cooperatives, farmers, packaging facilities, and related businesses in the province.

At the training course, delegates heard representatives from the Plant Protection Department convey some requirements regarding growing areas and export quality standards. Specifically, the requirements for certified agricultural products (CEPEs) stipulate that agricultural products must first be sourced from growing areas that have been approved with export codes. Simultaneously, measures must be in place to trace the origin of raw materials used in the packaging process. During the training, participants were also instructed on how to maintain an electronic Farmdiary log; how to use the CEPE management software; and how to conduct field visits to guide participants on how to prepare registration documents for CEPEs for export.

It is known that recently, the Provincial Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection has coordinated with the Plant Protection Department to organize many training courses related to the issuance and management of MSVT (Measurement, Veterinary, and Quarantine) codes and export product classification codes. This aims to update information promptly to localities, helping cooperatives and businesses better understand the regulations and procedures for establishing, issuing, and managing MSVT and export product classification codes. Based on this, it promotes and encourages people producing agricultural products to comply with the regulations of importing countries regarding plant quarantine, food safety, and traceability to meet export requirements.
