Previously, on the night of September 22 and 23, prolonged heavy rain caused two serious landslides on Provincial Road 674 through Mo Rai commune, causing traffic jams. Hundreds of cubic meters of soil and rock from the slope were eroded, dragging many bamboo bushes onto the road. Provincial Road 674 through Mo Rai commune was eroded, affecting traffic on the route.
According to the leader of the People's Committee of Mo Rai commune, provincial road 674 is not under local management, so the People's Committee of the commune has reported to the Department of Construction of Quang Ngai province to have a solution.
For now, the Commune People's Committee has put up warning signs to guide people to travel in other directions via National Highway 14C or Provincial Road 675. In addition, the locality has arranged machinery to temporarily clear the ground to help people move smoothly.
Provincial Road 674 is 36 km long, connecting the border commune of Mo Rai with Sa Thay commune, Quang Ngai province. This is a road that is often subject to landslides, making travel difficult for people.
