Agricultural exports in 2025 could reach a turnover of 67 to 70 billion USD, according to the forecast of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment (MARD) Phung Duc Tien at the regular press conference organized by the MARD on the morning of October 6 in Hanoi.
According to Mr. Tran Gia Long, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Finance (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), Vietnam's agricultural, forestry and fishery export turnover in September 2025 is estimated to reach 6.35 billion USD - an increase of 11.8% compared to September 2024; bringing the total agricultural, forestry and fishery export turnover in the first 9 months of 2025 to 52.31 billion USD - an increase of 14% over the same period in 2024. Of which, the export value of agricultural products reached 28.51 billion USD; livestock products reached 447.5 million USD; aquatic products reached 8.12 billion USD; wooden furniture and forestry products reached 13.41 billion USD...
Specifically, some main export items: Coffee exports in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 1.2 million tons; turnover reached 6.98 billion USD - an increase of 11.1% in volume and 61.4% in value over the same period in 2024.
Rubber exports in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 1.3 million tons and a value of 2.32 billion USD, unchanged in volume but up 10.8% in value over the same period in 2024.
Tea exports in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 96 thousand tons and 165.4 million USD, down 10.4% in volume and 10.9% in value over the same period in 2024.
Total rice export volume and value in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 7 million tons and 3.55 billion USD - up 0.1% in volume but down 18.5% in value compared to the same period in 2024.
The export value of fruits and vegetables in September 2025 is estimated at 1.4 billion USD, bringing the total export value of this item in the first 9 months of 2025 to 6.22 billion USD - an increase of 10.3% over the same period in 2024.
Cashew nut export volume and value in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 552.3 thousand tons and 3.75 billion USD - up 1.2% in volume and 18.9% in value over the same period in 2024.
Pepper export volume and value in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 188.1 thousand tons and 1.27 billion USD, down 6.3% in volume but up 28.7% in value over the same period in 2024.
The total export volume and value of cassava and cassava products in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 3.1 million tons and 963.6 million USD - an increase of 63.6% in volume and 9.6% in value over the same period in 2024.
The total export value of livestock products in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 447.5 million USD, an increase of 18.6% over the same period in 2024.
The export value of aquatic products in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 8.12 billion USD - an increase of 12.3% over the same period in 2024.
The total export value of wood and wood products in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 12.52 billion USD - an increase of 7.1% over the same period in 2024.
Vietnam's trade balance of agriculture, forestry and fishery products in the first 9 months of 2025 is estimated to reach a surplus of 15.93 billion USD - an increase of 17.6% over the same period last year.
Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Phung Duc Tien shared: In September 2025 alone, our country will have to deal with 3-4 storms, along with continuing to deal with difficulties from export markets regarding tariffs and technical barriers. However, the results of the first 9 months of 2025 of the agricultural sector are still very positive, with the export turnover of 9 months reaching 52.31 billion USD. It is expected that if the export growth in the remaining 3 months of 2025 reaches about 5 billion USD/month, the total turnover of the agricultural sector in 2025 will reach 67-70 billion USD.
