Instructions for changing the initial medical examination and treatment registration location

(Chinhphu.vn) - Mr. Nguyen Bac Ninh's daughter is under 6 years old and was issued a health insurance card along with a birth certificate, so the initial medical examination and treatment place on the card is the Commune Health Station.

Mr. Ninh asked, his family has moved their household registration to another place, so how can he change the initial medical examination and treatment place for his daughter?

Regarding this issue, Vietnam Social Security responds as follows:

Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 26 of the Law on Health Insurance, " health insurance participants are allowed to change the initial medical examination and treatment facility at the beginning of each quarter".

At the beginning of each quarter, if he needs to change the initial medical examination and treatment registration place recorded on the health insurance card for his daughter under 6 years old, he can submit an application to change the initial medical examination and treatment registration facility including the Application for participation, adjustment of social insurance and health insurance information to the social insurance agency where the card is issued in one of the following forms:

- Directly at the One-Stop Department of the Social Insurance agency;

- Through postal services;

- Apply directly at the National Public Service Portal (at https://dichvucong.gov.vn) or the Public Service Portal of Vietnam Social Security (at: https://dichvucong.baohiemxahoi.gov.vn) and follow the instructions.
