Aiming for 100% of commune-level police units to issue identity cards.

On April 24th, the Ca Mau Provincial Police organized a training conference on the procedures for receiving applications for identity cards, electronic identification, and managing population data for police officers in communes and wards throughout the province.

• Going door-to-door, going from street to street, without a day off, to issue identity cards to the people.

Currently, the province has 18 locations for receiving applications for identity cards; however, 48 commune and ward police units are not yet fully equipped, forcing people in some areas to travel long distances to complete the procedures.

In response to that request, the Provincial Police Department proposed that the Provincial People's Committee provide over 9 billion VND in support for comprehensive investment, ensuring that 100% of commune-level police units are qualified to receive and process applications.

Colonel Tran Van Thi, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, delivered a speech giving directives.

Emphasizing that the training aims to concretize the Law on Identity Cards, meet the requirements of digital transformation, and reform administrative procedures, Colonel Tran Van Thi, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, requested officers to thoroughly understand the procedures and operational procedures, and proactively resolve difficulties in practice.

At the conference, delegates were guided on key aspects of legal regulations related to identity cards and electronic identification; procedures for receiving and processing applications; system operation; handling arising situations; storing and returning cards; and ensuring information security.

Through training aimed at standardizing procedures and enhancing the capacity of commune-level police forces, the goal is to implement the issuance of identity cards and electronic identification in a synchronized and seamless manner, serving the people quickly and conveniently; while also improving the effectiveness of state management of security and order at the local level.
