Cai Lay District: Phu Nhuan Commune meets model new rural standards

(ABO) On May 28, Cai Lay District People's Committee held a ceremony to announce the Decision of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee recognizing Phu Nhuan commune as a model new rural area (NTM).

Awarding the Certificate of recognition of the commune meeting the model new rural standards and donating welfare works worth 2 billion VND to the Party Committee, government and people of Phu Nhuan commune.

Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Thi Hoai Thu, former member of the Party Central Committee, former member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, former Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Social Affairs; comrade Pham Van Trong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the National Target Program on New Rural Construction of Tien Giang province, leaders of departments, branches and sectors of Tien Giang province and localities.

Comrade Pham Van Trong, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit of the Provincial People's Committee to individuals.

From the foundation of a commune meeting advanced NTM standards, by 2025, Phu Nhuan commune is determined to build a model NTM commune. The commune has demonstrated high political determination, focusing on solutions to improve the material and spiritual life of the people, completing rural infrastructure according to the motto "The State and the people work together". The average income per capita of the commune is more than 83 million VND/person/year, the multidimensional poverty rate has decreased to 0.41%.

Phu Nhuan Commune also chose the outstanding fields of environmental landscape,education and security and order to focus on implementation. The commune has more than 65% of roads meeting the criteria of "Bright, green, clean, beautiful", 95.93% of households registered to collect and treat waste according to regulations.

Phu Nhuan commune launched the movement "All people protect national security" widely, replicating self-management models of security and order such as "Security cameras", "Optical lighting combined with flagpoles and street lights", "Self-management routes for security and order", "Bright, green, clean, secure and orderly" routes. 100% of schools in the commune meet national standards...

Comrade Huynh Vu Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of Cai Lay District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from Cai Lay District People's Committee to individuals.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, comrade Huynh Vu Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cai Lay District, praised the efforts and strivings of the Party Committee, government and people of Phu Nhuan Commune. At the same time, he requested that after the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, Phu Nhuan Commune needs to continue to propagate, create consensus among the people, maximize the role of the people as the main subject, effectively promote investment resources, continue to increase income, improve the material and spiritual life of the people...

At the ceremony, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province awarded the Certificate of recognition for the commune meeting the model new rural standards and donated welfare works worth 2 billion VND to the Party Committee, government and people of Phu Nhuan commune. On this occasion, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province, the People's Committee of Cai Lay district and the People's Committee of Phu Nhuan commune commended 42 collectives and individuals for their contributions to the construction of the model new rural area.
