(Moc Chau) The project to establish Moc Chau town and rearrange the commune-level administrative units of Moc Chau district to establish communes and wards of Moc Chau town is being urgently and seriously coordinated by Moc Chau district and all levels and sectors of Son La province to implement. structured, it is expected to separate and merge the current 15 communes and towns of Moc Chau district into 8 wards including: Moc Ly, Moc Son, Binh Minh, Thao Nguyen, Co Do, Van Son, Dong Sang, Muong Sang and 7 communes including: Tan Yen, Doan Ket, Chieng Chung, Chieng Hac, Chieng Khua, Chieng Son and Long Sap. The rearrangement of commune-level administrative units of Moc Chau district to establish communes and wards of Moc Chau town ensures compliance with the General Urban Planning of Moc Chau, Son La province to 2040 approved by competent authorities.

To create high consensus among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life, Moc Chau district is focusing on promoting propaganda work with rich content and forms towards the May 12 voting day. The district has directed units to focus on reviewing and posting voter lists in accordance with regulations; regularly grasp voter movements; require communes and towns to grasp the situation, regularly report to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles. Up to now, communes and towns have established teams to collect voters' opinions, completed training on organizing voter opinions, and made voter lists to be ready for voting day.

The voting period will be held on the morning of May 12, on Sunday, to facilitate people to exercise their rights and obligations as voters. Up to now, communes and towns have basically completed the work content and are ready to organize the upcoming vote.

In Moc Chau Farm Town, the locality with the largest area and population in Moc Chau district, it is expected to be separated to establish 3 wards: Binh Minh, Thao Nguyen and Co Do. Currently, the Town prioritizes the arrangement of human resources, means and careful preparation of opinion forms and related documents, along with continuing to promote information and propaganda work. Establish 30 groups to collect opinions and recommendations from voters; distribute 8,200 ballots for voters to study.

The Town People's Committee has also reviewed the voter list and posted it in the town and residential groups and sub-areas. Up to now, the decoration work has been completed, the ballots have been fully prepared, and the ballot boxes have been handed over to the opinion-gathering groups. At the same time, propaganda has been increased on the town's public address system, combined with propaganda on the mobile vehicle system to be ready to successfully organize the event to vote for voters.

Moc Chau town has a large area and population, it is expected to be separated to establish 2 wards: Moc Ly and Moc Son. The town has also established a Steering Committee, assigning specific tasks to each member for implementation; Organizing to collect voters' opinions on the plan to rename and name communes and wards in Moc Chau town, the result is over 98% of voters agree.
