After Can Loc district, Cam Xuyen district is the second locality in Ha Tinh province to complete the summer-autumn rice planting in 2023.
In the summer-autumn crop of 2023, Cam Xuyen district strives to produce 9,125 hectares of rice, leading the province in terms of area. In order to complete the planting plan early, Cam district has drastically implemented solutions to regulate irrigation water for production. Accordingly, the locality has established a zalo group to direct drought prevention, directly managed by the Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Committee.
Following the seasonal schedule, the steering committee for drought prevention and summer-autumn production in Cam Xuyen district has directed Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited to coordinate with the locality to regulate water 24/7 for people's production.
Cam Xuyen district has nearly 200 tillage machines to serve summer-autumn rice production in 2023
In just 12 days (from May 28 to June 9), Cam Xuyen district completed planting 9,125 hectares of rice, reaching 100% of the plan, becoming the second locality in the province to complete the summer-autumn rice planting plan in 2023.
Up to now, Cam Xuyen district has implemented the demolition of small plots, forming large plots on an area of 2,480 hectares; of which 711.2 hectares have undergone the third land conversion. The formation of large plots and concentration of land is facilitating people in applying mechanization to production, implementing one-variety, one-season, one-production-process fields. This is also a factor for Cam Xuyen to complete early planting of summer-autumn rice this year. |
