On the afternoon of June 17, Vinh Long Club hosted Kon Tum at home in the 13th round of the 2025 National Second Division. When Vinh Long led 3-2 until the 87th minute, the match was forced to be temporarily stopped.
The weather was not in favor of the two teams and the organizers. The heavy rain flooded the field, making it impossible for the ball to roll, affecting the technicality of the match.
After checking the condition of the field and consulting with the supervisor, referee Nguyen Anh Vu temporarily stopped the match according to the regulations. The two teams took shelter inside and waited for the referee's decision.
According to the rules, the referee will stop the match for 30 minutes to assess the weather. However, after the first 30 minutes, the rain became heavier so the referee decided to postpone the match.
