IGCSE and A Level – the 'key' to unlocking students' future.

Báo Tuổi TrẻBáo Tuổi Trẻ08/10/2024

IGCSEs are taught 100% by highly qualified foreign teachers.

At each educational level, at the beginning of each school year, the school always holds meetings and discussions with parents and students to discuss the best options for the students' future.

While primary and lower secondary school students aim to achieve Cambridge certificates and hone their bilingual knowledge and skills, upper secondary school students will focus on in-depth learning content based on their strengths or future passions.

And the IGCSE and A Level programs – two international education programs based on Cambridge standards – are the "golden key" that helps students confidently enter prestigious universities around the world.

International standard route

During a workshop with Mr. Melvyn Lim, Director of Cambridge Southeast Asia, the school's administration presented their views on applying the IGCSE and A Level educational programs to high school students studying bilingually, specifically at Royal School.

Accordingly, the school develops a high-quality team of foreign teachers, ensuring they have high professional qualifications and are always dedicated. In addition, the curriculum is updated annually with many creative activities to develop students' abilities.

Melvyn Lim, Director of Cambridge Southeast Asia, stated at the Royal School seminar: "Recognized and highly valued by leading universities worldwide in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, etc., IGCSE and A Level are important certificates that schools prioritize when developing learning pathways for students."

Establishing an internationally standardized learning path will help students learn effectively and develop outstandingly. In particular, it will prepare them mentally for each academic year, encouraging them to strive for specific goals.

Melvyn Lim, Director of Cambridge Southeast Asia, shared information about the IGCSE and A Level programs with parents.

During the sharing session, Mr. Le Cong Tam (Director of the Cambridge International Education Program), representing the school's management board, also shared with parents the strengths of having a scientifically structured learning pathway – something that Royal School has achieved and strongly applied in recent years.

"Besides the foundational knowledge, the school has made wise decisions in selecting subjects that suit the strengths of Vietnamese students, appropriate for students in grades 9 and 10 (IGCSE) and grades 11 and 12 (A Level)."

Parents also expressed reassurance in partnering with the school, especially during the final years of high school such as grades 11 and 12, when students need to make decisions about their future paths. Having clear guidance from the school will be a great advantage.

During the past school year, many 12th-grade students achieved A Levels and went on to study at prestigious universities.

Study abroad journey guide

Royal School affirms its quality of education and teaching with the successful results of the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint exam (for Year 5 students) and the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint exam.

During the past academic year, the school recorded many students achieving perfect scores in all three subjects, and students also conquered several other certificates in the Cambridge program such as Cambridge A2 Flyers and B1 Preliminary.

High school seniors consistently receive prestigious scholarships from top universities worldwide, with many achieving IELTS scores of 7.5 and 8.0. 100% of students taking the graduation exam are exempt from the foreign language test due to possessing English language certificates.

Royal School students regularly have meetings and discussions with their teachers to better guide them on their future paths.

Always closely monitoring students and offering helpful advice to parents, Mr. Donovan Cedric Rogiers (Deputy Director of the International Education Program) affirmed: "Royal School always puts students at the center, regularly updating creative and engaging teaching methods. The teaching staff also participates in training courses with reputable organizations annually to provide students with the most beneficial lessons."

Royal School always strives to create a student-centered learning environment, building clear and appropriate learning pathways.

These achievements are not only clear evidence of the school's training quality but also demonstrate the efforts and hard work of the teachers and students. We believe that with a clear roadmap and high-quality teachers, students will secure their "golden ticket" to prestigious universities.
