President Prabowo Subianto came out of the car to welcome and invite General Secretary To Lam to step up to the podium of honor.
The military band played the national anthems of Vietnam and Indonesia. At the same time, 21 cannon shots were fired majestically to welcome the General Secretary and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation.
Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, General Secretary To Lam signed the guest book at the Presidential Palace, expressing his joy at visiting the beautiful archipelago of Indonesia and his belief that the Vietnam-Indonesia relationship will develop steadily and extensively, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, for peace and stability in the region and the world; hoping that the two countries will continue to promote their roles and become pillar members of ASEAN; wishing the solidarity and friendship between the two countries to last forever.
The two leaders had a private meeting and held high-level talks to discuss and propose solutions to continue to preserve and develop the relationship between the two countries to new heights.
According to the program, President Prabowo Subianto and General Secretary To Lam will witness the exchange of cooperation documents and meet the press. Afterwards, President Prabowo Subianto will host an official reception for General Secretary To Lam and his wife.
