(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Iran warns it will build more nuclear facilities if the US and Israel attack these targets in Tehran.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared that the Middle Eastern nation would build more nuclear facilities than it currently does if it were attacked by the United States or Israel.
"They are threatening to attack our nuclear facilities. They can hit the buildings, but they can't hit the minds that built them. Let them destroy a hundred facilities; thousands more will be rebuilt," he said in a statement broadcast by SNN television.
The Wall Street Journal previously reported that data collected by U.S. intelligence agencies indicated Israel was considering launching large-scale attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities this year.
On February 10, US President Donald Trump stated that preventing Tehran from developing nuclear weapons could be achieved with bombs or by signing an agreement. The US leader added that he wanted to reach an agreement with Tehran without resorting to military action.
Tensions between the US and Iran escalated during Trump's first term when, in 2018, he withdrew the US from the 2015 nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5+1 group (comprising the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany).
Under this agreement, Iran would limit its uranium enrichment activities in exchange for the lifting of Western sanctions. Iran has consistently maintained that its nuclear program is purely for civilian and peaceful purposes.
However, since Trump turned his back on the deal, Iran is believed to have restarted its uranium enrichment program at levels that Western governments consider "only suitable for building nuclear weapons."
In the latest development aimed at advancing its nuclear program, Iran recently informed the IAEA of its intention to "significantly increase" its production of enriched uranium to 60%.
